Mr. Hitchcock has over 30 years of experience representing professional sports team executives, coaches, sportscasters, and professional athletes in contract negotiations.
Mr. Hitchcock’s practice is focused on estate planning, contract law and business. He is an acclaimed lecturer on complex estate planning topics and an occasional contributor to the bimonthly newsletter of the Minnesota Podiatric Medical Association. Mr. Hitchcock has two children and resides in Dellwood, Minnesota, with his wife.

Complex Estate Planning. Mr. Hitchcock’s estate planning practice is centered on providing complex estate planning services to individuals and families. This includes wills, revocable trusts, marital and support trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives. He has represented thousands of clients in the areas of general estate planning, and estate tax planning. Business and Contract Law. Mr. Hitchcock has extensive experience representing small- and medium-sized businesses. He serves as corporate counsel for several small- and medium-sized businesses. He provides contract negotiations for complex business transactions, including the purchase and sale of business assets, employment contracts and non-compete agreements, succession planning, estate and tax matters. Professional Sports Representation. Mr. Hitchcock has over 28 years of experience representing professional sports team executives, coaches, sportscasters, and professional athletes in contract negotiations. He has also represented Olympic athletes, NASCAR drivers, mixed martial arts fighters, professional wrestlers, football and baseball players. In 2001, he negotiated the largest NASCAR contract for a NASCAR driver in Minnesota history on behalf of Christian Elder and the Great Clips Race Team. In 2004, he spearheaded a national NFL marketing campaign on behalf of collegiate wrestling and WWE champion Brock Lesnar. The marketing campaign resulted in an NFL contract for Mr. Lesnar to play with the Minnesota Vikings. In 2018 and 2010, he completed negotiations for the purchase of an ownership interest of an NHL franchise. In the last two decades, Mr. Hitchcock has represented hundreds of professional athletes and team executives. His legal representation often extends into contract, copyright, and tort matters and requires negotiation and drafting of sophisticated and complex legal documents.

Gene E. Adkins has over 28 years of experience representing clients primarily in the areas of probate and estate administration, estate planning, real estate, and business formation. He is a frequent guest speaker on topics of probate and estate administration, estate planning, and real estate matters. Mr. Adkins has three stepchildren and resides in Lino Lakes, Minnesota, with his wife.

Raebern B. Hitchcock, Sr.

Hitchcock, Raebern B. Sr., 86, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed from this life on December 12, 2019. Raebern was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He was born on August 12, 1933 in Austin, Minnesota, and grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in finance in 1955 and received his law degree from the University of Arkansas Law School in 1962. He actively served in the United States Air Force in Germany shortly after the Korean War. He initially practiced law in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, before joining forces with his father and stepmother, Edward and Marie, in the law firm of Hitchcock in Saint Paul. From there, Raebern was a sole practitioner for many years before forming Hitchcock Law Firm with his son, Edward. Raebern was an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law in the 1970s. The Payne-Arcade Business Association proclaimed him 1998 Business Man of the Year. Practicing law for 57 years, Raebern selflessly provided help to all those in need while simultaneously mentoring many young attorneys. Raebern took great pride in his involvement with the Masons, having been a 32nd Degree Mason who served as a Past Master of Montgomery Lodge #258 in Saint Paul. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy; his children, Loretta (Jeff), Edward (Susan) and Raebern Jr. (Tyanne); six grandchildren, Mary, Anna, Edward Jr. (Sydney), Robert, Brooks (Stephanie), and Elise; father-in-law, Ed; brother-in-law, John (Kris); brother-in-law, John; and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Mary; parents, Edward and Geraldine; stepmother, Marie; brother, Bobby; sister, Susan (John); and mother-in-law, Dora.
