Hitchcock Law Firm is a third-generation law firm, faithfully serving the Twin Cities metropolitan area for over 50 years. Ed Hitchcock’s grandparents, Edward G. Hitchcock and Marie Hitchcock, who founded the firm, were both attorneys. Marie was the first female attorney in Minnesota to be appointed a special assistant attorney general and one of only two female law students in her class at the St. Paul College of Law (predecessor to Mitchell Hamline School of Law).

Raebern B. Hitchcock (Ed’s father) joined in practice with Ed and Marie in 1969. Raebern practiced for over 55 years. Among his many accomplishments, he successfully argued before the Minnesota Supreme Court in the Beecham case, which is a landmark case in Minnesota for implied contracts. Raebern selflessly provided help to all those who came to him in need. And he did so in a way that always made his clients feel special.
